Whole-hearted and Regular Mantra Practice
In the Mantra-repetition, there should not be merely a physical force in
self-expression, there should also be the force of devotion behind, there should
also be the force of divine knowledge, spiritual understanding of the Divine
Presence, behind. There should also be the force of the psychic being within,
the force also of the spiritual being within. Then the meditation becomes more
fruitful.
If the force is only physical, only the physical body is bettered, but nothing
is touched in the heart and soul and mind.
So, the whole soul, the whole being, mind, heart, body, tone, breath – all must
come into self-expression, in order that we may commune with the Divine fully,
fruitfully.
And such hours are very rare and very blessed. It is with great difficulty that
such good opportunities are given. Supposing you have ten days holidays, you
think you will be able to meditate beautifully sitting in the mountains. You sit
there for ten days, no good meditation comes. On the other hand, even when you
are working in the busiest place, and even while you brush your teeth, good
meditation may come automatically.
So, we cannot say when the good meditation comes, because that depends upon the
good Karma, Grace of God.
Let us go on meditating at the regular hours, and when the Grace comes, on that
day that particular meditation will be simply grand.
Now, let us put the whole heart and soul and force, and
mind and spirit and breath and tone into this communion with the Divine.
Freedom in the Ashram

No meditation is compulsory – anybody who would like to remain in their own
places can do so. People are invited only because they scold if they are not
invited, and people are also invited only when there is a feeling in us that
they would like to participate in the meditation, and it would be good for them,
and that the person likes it and wants it.
So, it is not compulsory for everyone to come to every meditation and so on. It
is all done of their own free will.
And if you feel at any time in the middle of the meditation you are a little
tired and feel it's better you sleep, then it's good, you go and take rest so
that at least tomorrow morning's meditation will be wonderful for you.
It is quite natural in a place where there are ten persons, or four persons,
that there will be four different temperaments. One wants to sleep early,
another would want to work late into the night and sleep late in the morning. So
the temperaments differ, constitutions differ.
There is no use A. trying to sit in the meditation when her body is weak, she
can easily give her work to somebody else and take rest. Then she will be
refreshed tomorrow morning and everything will be more in order. But if she
thinks, “Oh it is a must and a duty”, then trouble comes in. Well she sits here
now thinking it's all right, it is her duty, but tomorrow morning she will be so
tired that the whole day she will be missing and we are beginning to suspect
“Where has A. gone?”
So, take care of the body, take care of the health, you must have bright looks,
bright and strong bodies, – light, strong, bright blessed bodies.
In the Ashram in every corner there is something to eat, something to drink, and
many times you are given freedom to eat what you like, to drink what you like.
In order that you may improve your health, take good food and whenever
necessary.
All Are God

So, avoid human feelings and try to express the divine nature, and there will be
more happiness.
So, let us try to enjoy the freedom. When you are tired I beg you like a
princess or an angel, go and sleep. And when you are refreshed, come, work like
a giant, if you like.
Let us try to see how best everything about us, in us, is progressing, growing,
developing, becoming brighter and brighter.
So, when you feel tired, kindly take rest, and when you feel fresh, come along,
meditate better and better.
Knowledge of the Truth Solves All Problems

Lack of true divine knowledge and proper knowledge is the cause of all problems
of life. All human problems, difficulties, sorrows, crimes, miseries arise from
lack of knowledge. The moment there is true knowledge and proper knowledge, all
the clouds of limitations, unhappiness, misery, misunderstanding, difficulties
are dispelled.
Life is made up of artificial difficulties, artificial problems, because of lack
of knowledge. People do not know that there is only One Being, there is only One
Life, One Truth, One Reality, which is everywhere and everything.
The policeman in the street and the M. here, are one and the same, made of the
same substance, formed of the same substance, bearing the same reality,
breathing the same breath. All other distinctions are purely artificial, human,
mental distinctions; they are imaginary, illusory.
Who says that? Reason at its best. Wisdom tells you that, reason tells you that,
intuition tells you that. All the greatest mystics, philosophers, wise men,
noble persons will say the same thing. There is only One Reality, and everything
around you, about you is an echo of what you are in yourself.
Everything about you, your life's conditions, everything is a perfect mirror of
what you are in yourself. If you have a heaven in the most difficult and
troublesome place, that heaven is purely a mirror of what is in yourself. And
that heaven influences other people who are troubled, disturbed, to find some
peace in your presence.
The world reacts to us in response to that which is in us.
Example of the Mirror Effect

Mr. Brunner says, there is a constant conflict between him and his wife, and
that conflict is created by himself. His wife is a noble good woman, a simple
person conscious of God and devoted to God, but Mr. Brunner has all the problems
in himself. When they were married everything was all right for two years. Since
the children are born, the mother is paying more attention to the children, and
Mr. Brunner is jealous of the fact that the wife has no time for him. It is not
true that the wife has no time, the little time that she has she uses it for
giving the same affection to him as she has always been giving, but internally
he is troubled by his own problems, he has too many inner selfish demands.
When the children have got married, and they have gone away, the mother
naturally finds a vacuum in her life and therefore she invites her neighbours,
and there are always friends in the house. Mr. Brunner is all the more angry and
creates domestic discord. He has spent all his married life complaining against
the wife. The facts are that the wife has been always good, always loving and
always decent, always wonderful. The problems have subsisted because of great
limitations and lack of knowledge on the part of Mr. Brunner. The difficulties
and suffering in the family are purely a mirror of the wrong desires, wrong
knowledge on the part of Mr. Brunner – of the wrong thoughts, wrong feelings,
impossible desires.
So, the discord that he sees in the family is a reflection of the discord that
is in himself.
The Swami's Mirror

U. always complains, “Oh, Swami is very kind to M., he is very unkind to me. He
even jokes with M., but he is always harsh to me, and very unkind.” The truth
is, the Swami has not found any distinction between M. and U., all are the same
for him, everything is wonderful, – but unfortunately the human weaknesses in
U., and the dark, unseen, undetected, unknown forces in herself, are the cause
of the whole trouble. So naturally, whenever U. comes to the Swami, the mirror
of the Swami reflects back what is in the heart of U.
There is only discord and very unhappy feelings in her. Though there are a
thousand angels by the Swami, so long as U. is burdened with these discordant
feelings and human nature, these thousand angels are helpless to help her. So,
naturally the moment U. stands before the Swami, Swami is busy with something
else or indifferent to her, does not talk to her, has no time for her. And when
U. brings some work, Swami scolds her, because the work is full of
imperfections, she has done a disservice and wasted time and life, and naturally
the reaction is one of unfriendliness, – and that unfriendliness is not in
relation to U. but in relation to the wrong work that she has done. And unless
one is unfriendly to her wrong work, it cannot be changed. But U's ego tells her
the Swami is unfriendly to herself, and the whole problem starts and difficulty
starts.
So, life is a big art, we have to understand the situations and try to eliminate
from our own inner nature all discordant forces in order to find the outer life
a heaven.
Everything around us is a reflection of what we are in ourselves. All the Ashram
is very happy and jumping about, U. in one corner is unhappy and miserable, and
she feels all the world is not beautiful, the Ashram is not beautiful, nobody is
good. She is in this state. What is the reason? Her depressive feelings and her
dirty human nature composed of jealousy, greed, all these have caused for her
here in this heaven a world of unhappiness, misery, distress, trouble, sorrow.
And where is this world of unhappiness, misery, sorrow, this hell? Only in U. It
is nowhere visible to others, others are jumping about, smiling, joking. They
notice the existence of this dark world by looking at U's face and its features
and expression. So, let us remember this truth and try to see how best we can
make the outer world a heaven by constantly beautifying, ennobling and
illuminating our inner nature.
Rising Above Human Nature

It is quite natural where there is more than one person, that jealousies arise.
If the child Ur. knows that Swami has given one franc to the other child R., Ur.
is bound to somehow stretch his hand for a franc for himself. There is always a
reaction to the environment. Children are very imitative, and also very jealous.
The same tendencies are persisting in the adults, though in a less noticeable
form. And therefore in a place like this where there are many people, there are
wonderful opportunities for growth, education, – but it is also a place that is
a danger to the weaknesses of the people. And because it is a danger, it is all
the more a wonderful place for rapid growth. It is in this place that all
jealousies have to be wiped off, and the goodness has to be manifested in
greater and greater measure.
All are Unique in Their Place

There is no use of being jealous because every person is individual and unique.
It is foolish for U. to think that she can ever do Mother K.'s work in the way
Mother K. does. Ten U.'s in the kitchen cannot replace Mother K.
So, everyone is unique and individual. It is foolish for one person to aspire to
do the other person's work for which one has not the capacities, not the
equipment, not the nature.
If E. thinks that she can do Ar.'s work, she is making a great mistake. And if
Ar. is jealous of the special kind of work E. does, she is harming herself.
Everybody is unique, and individual. You cannot do another person's work, each
is gifted for a particular thing, and each is beautiful in his own place and
position. But if the jealousy comes in, all disorder and sorrow emerge. U. can
never take up the work of M., M. is specially gifted in her own way, she cannot
displace M. Understanding these peculiarities which are constitutional, one
should avoid jealousy, and try to perfect oneself in that with which one is
born.
Then God's Grace will descend and wonders happen. Then we are real peacemakers,
and there is a joy wherever the light of our life moves.
Swami as an Example of Total Impartiality

It is a great self-deception and a sin to think that Swami has partialities. He
loves all equally. In truth he does not know any man in the world or any woman
in the world except God, – with the result nobody is his friend, and everybody
is his friend.
He loves all equally because he sees the same that is in him and around him.
But in this world of time and space, this rich knowledge of oneness of life of
the Swami is not spoiled by any discriminative factor. This wonderful knowledge
of the inner oneness of all life does not disturb the orderly way he can conduct
his life here in the world in order maximum good is done to maximum number of
people.
There is J. He loves his face very much. He sees it's beautiful. He loves his
hair very much, on the head, he applies hair-spray, combs the hair. He also
sometimes loves his legs and hands, he keeps them clean, he cuts the nails. He
puts on new socks for the legs, for the feet, and if it is cold he honours his
hands by putting on gloves. Every part of his body is dear to him, he loves
every part of his body equally. But does he eat with his feet? That is
impossible. But if the feet are angry and jealous of the hand, and say, “Look
here, he eats with the hands and he doesn't eat with us, he is a bad person, he
is partial, he does not love us, he loves only the hands” – the legs begin to
create a disorder in him. The problem is not over for J., the hands are jealous
of the mouth. The mouth can speak, taste wonderful dishes, can drink Lassi and
Soyamalt, it has all the pleasures. The hands are jealous of the tongue and the
mouth of J. They say, “Look here, we are serving, we are lifting the food up and
the tongue enjoys. What do we gain? We gain nothing.”
The problem for J. is not over here. He is a family man of million sorrows. Not
only trouble from the legs and the hands, but also from the mouth sometimes
troubles come, and from the tongue. The tongue says, “Look here, I want to taste
wonderful things, but J. is sitting there and meditating. And now J. is there
thinking deeply, he does not eat, he is not interested in eating.” So the tongue
says, “Ah look here, he loves the brain more than me.”
So, your problems in the Ashram are problems like this, exactly like this. E. is
sitting there next to me, not because she is more dear to me than the legs, my
legs, but because she has a specific work to do, and the legs have another
specific work to do. She cannot sit in the kitchen when she has constantly to
take down what I speak and translate it on the spot. A person that has to do
that kind of work has to sit next to me.
It would be foolish, unwise, undivine, and bad for An. and bad for the world if
An. thinks, why not I also sit next to the Swami in the office? An. is wonderful
in her place, E. is wonderful in her place. And Swami loves both of them
equally, whether they work or do not work, whether they are in the Ashram or
never in the Ashram, whether their work is important or not important. But Swami
also obeys external laws and sees that they are not spoiling the place by
remaining idle or doing mischief, because the moment you are idle there are
wrong thoughts coming, wrong feelings coming, negative forces troubling.
Y. has a wonderful palace. He loves his palace very much. In one room he has his
office. In another room he has his bedroom, while in another place there is the
kitchen, and there is the toilet. And Y. is always in the office. Can the toilet
become jealous and create problems because Y. is always in the office and never
in the toilet? Can the one room called toilet complain about other rooms, and
say that Y. does not love me as much as he loves that other particular room? Y.
loves the whole palace, it is his palace. Yet all through the day he is in the
office, in one special room. Does it mean that he has no regard for other rooms?
Without the other rooms what is this office? Without the other rooms, how can
you call it a palace? So, every room is important in the palace, though one room
executes the work as a toilet, another as a kitchen, another as an office,
another as a bedroom, another as a bathroom.
In the society, in a place, in a house, – or in a group, in a society, –
whatever place we occupy we must be content with it and develop ourselves in
that particular function. It may so happen with the passage of time that the
kitchen is transformed into an office, and therefore Y. is always in that old
kitchen which is now the office. And perhaps the office is converted into a
bathroom, and Y. never goes there except on every alternate day for a bath.
So, let us occupy the positions we are occupying, and understand that we have to
express that which is wonderful through the peculiar functions for which life,
nature, destiny, fate have fitted us.
Supposing you want to occupy a higher position, the only way is: go on doing
that for which you are fitted, beautifully, nobly, divinely. Let there be the
background aspiration for the other place. God who is all-seeing and all-just,
understands whether you are fit or capable for that other place or not; and He
waits till you are made ready by His hand of Grace for the other place. If you
are impatient, you miss your aim, you delay your progress, you create disharmony
for yourself and for others.
So life is a great art, we must understand it more and more, in order to live it
more and more beautifully.
Now, let us try to retain the wonderful heaven the Grace of God has created for
us, all around us; and beg God to enable us to make our heart and our mind and
our will and our soul also a heaven, so that we can experience the outside
heaven.
Wisdom of Life

Wisdom and rich experience in life will tell you that life as it is lived by
people is essenceless, it has no real value, there is no real pleasure. Real
pleasure, real value, real meaning can emerge only from That which is permanent,
and That which belongs to the inner Divine Consciousness.
One brick brought and laid for the temple of the Kingdom of Heaven is infinitely
superior than to build a kingdom and rule it for thousands of years.
Real wealth, real meaning and value and happiness, can only be attained in
spiritual growth. This is real nobility.
So, let us try to do our best to go on doing good as much as possible in all
conditions.
The Cosmic Intelligence

With every repetition of this Mantra, become conscious of the infinite
Intelligence of the Divine. Let the cosmic Intelligence disclose to you the
Divinity which it bears.
May the cosmic Intelligence be favourable to you, at all times, in all
conditions, and plan for you your future, and conduct your future.
Now let us plunge ourselves into this wonderful infinite divine Knowledge,
cosmic Intelligence.
The Divine is infinitely more real than every object that we see physically.
God is an Omnipresent Power

The endless power of the Divine is in every point of space, and there is no
place where space is not. So, within you, above you, below you, around you is
the infinite Power of the all-beautiful, all-loving, all-blessing Divinity.
Every repetition of the Mantra connects you with this wondrous Power of Powers.
Now, let us commune with this Being of infinite Power, absolute Beauty,
unconditioned Love.
The One Truth

Though there are millions of beings, the Reality within, above, below, around
them is one and the same.
The fact that there are millions of beings is a temporary fact, the fact that
all of them are one Being, the one Truth appearing in this manyness, is eternal,
is permanent.
The millions of hands that you see, are but one hand, the Hand of the Divine.
The millions of faces that you see are but one Face, that is the Divine.
Experience this one Divinity, in every point of space, – within you, above you,
around you, – at all times, in all conditions.
This God, this Truth which is one, is infinite Light, Peace, Power, Happiness,
Success. Experience this through every repetition of the Mantra.
The Sage and the Dreamer

A person who is sitting in the blazing sun falls asleep and dreams that he is
caught up in the pitch-darkness of the forest, and someone comes and tells him,
“No, it is not true you are in darkness, the fact is you are in the blazing
sunshine”, he does not believe it, he is miserable. The truth is, he is in the
blazing sunshine.
Even so the ordinary man, though he is in the blazing sunshine of God's
Presence, all the time, does not know that he is in the sunshine, he suffers and
thinks himself to be in darkness. Only a Sage here and there is conscious that
he is in the sunshine of the Divine Presence, though also having the other
experience.
The Sage, who does not dream, and when he dreams knows that he is dreaming, –
and knowing that he is dreaming, he does not identify himself with the
experiences he is undergoing as a dreaming individual.
So, knowing ourselves to be in the blazing sunshine of the Divine, let us now
commune with the Divine, Its Love, Its Light, Its Power, Its Peace, Its
Perfection, Its Grace.
The World of Eternal Light

When it becomes night, it is all dark in the world. Close your eyes, you see
nothing. But if you turn your inner eyes into your mental world, you see your
thoughts. You can see anything you like by closing your eyes, in thought and in
imagination, in intelligence and in consciousness. You can close your eyes and
find yourself walking in the daylight in Winterthur.
You can close your eyes and see anything that you can think of. In what light do
you see? The light of intelligence. When the external eyes are closed, when the
outer world is dark, the inner world opens, the inner world of intelligence,
thoughts, memory, imagination, dream, the thought-world. All these are lit up,
you see in them, you work in them.
Close this world of light also, and go yet deeper, another world of light opens
itself, the world of divine Light, the world of eternal Light.
If you close your physical eyes, the world of light which is constantly
alternated by the world of darkness every twelve hours, this imperfect world
disappears.
You go into the world of light in thought, in intelligence, in imagination, in
dream. Close this world also, remain pure, without a thought, without a feeling,
dive deep into the inner Consciousness Divine. The mental world of mental light
is also shut off, you are face to face with the Divine Light, the infinite
Light, the all-beautiful Light, the all-powerful Light, the all-blessing Light,
the all-protecting Light, the all-beautiful and all-sustaining Light, the all
miracle-working Light.
Now let us commune with this Light.
The Method of Displacement for Mastery of the Mind

Constantly practise the method of displacement. Displace the ordinary thoughts
by divine thoughts, displace the ordinary feelings by divine feelings. Displace
the image of many things by the Image of God. Displace the images of outer
things by the constant one Image of the Divine.
Mind is like the restless sea whose waves are constantly roaring, dashing.
So, this mind has to be controlled, these restless waves have to be controlled.
If you had at least three minutes of real peace, you would be a Sage. But you
can never have it, so long as your present mental state persists. Wave on wave
of thoughts, images, feelings, are constantly rising in you. This is the cause
of your human condition, your problems and difficulties, your limitations and
weaknesses.
Practise the discipline of displacement. The moment the thought of the friend
comes, displace it by the thought of the Divine. If you allow the thought of the
friend to rise, instantly behind it the thought of his car comes in. The moment
the thought of his car arises, the thought of your own car arises in you, and
the thought of your neighbour who is always quarrelling with you on account of
your car arises. Your anger and hatred for him arises, and instead of meditating
you are pouring out the poison of your anger and hatred on your neighbour. See
how thoughts lead. This is going on all through the day, and all through the
night even when you are asleep the unconscious process of thinking is going on.
So, displace all this by constant generation of divine thoughts, divine
feelings, God-Image.
Meditation is a powerful time wherein you powerfully displace all that is human
by the Divine. Mantra-repetition is another wonderful art of constantly
displacing common thoughts, feelings, images by divine thoughts, divine
feelings, divine Image.
So, constantly practise this art of displacing the inner mental content by
divine content. Every time you repeat the Mantras, displace your restlessness by
infinite Peace, your limited love by infinite Love, your limited happiness by
infinite Happiness, your limited light by infinite Light of God.
Now, let us once more displace everything in us by the infinite Light, Grace,
Peace, Power, Fulfillment, Happiness, Satisfaction of the Divine.
All Good Things Come by Grace Alone

All good things, divine things, spiritual things are rare, and difficult to
obtain. It's only the Grace of God that can help us touch them, obtain them.
When there is no Grace there is no desire for good things, there is no capacity
to do good things, there is no aspiration to meditate and experience God; and
whatever aspiration one might have had in the beginning disappears even as the
fuel disappears when burnt.
So, the fire of spiritual aspiration and responsiveness to divine things must be
kept burning, by constant feeding of it with the fuel of aspiration, longing,
devotion.
Recognizing
the truth that love for God, the capacity to be good, the longing to be in
search of peace, happiness divine, cannot come without the Grace of God, let us
try our best to be more and more on the side of all that is wonderful, divine,
blessed, good. No opportunity for prayer, for meditation, for good service of
mankind should be lost.
Now we shall return to our respective fields of work and perform them with a
divine attitude and with a soul filled with the love and peace and happiness of
God.
God Beyond the Creator

True rest, happiness, peace are in the infinite Truth alone. In any other
condition there is no happiness, no true peace, no true rest, no true
satisfaction, true perfection. In no condition can there be any true rest or
true happiness except in the infinite Truth, Existence, Silence, Reality.
All through the day J. pursues all kinds of pleasures, he is never truly
satisfied with any pleasure, he is jumping from one pleasure to another
pleasure, and repeating the same old pleasures again and again, finding no true
satisfaction. If he could find satisfaction somewhere he would be peaceful, and
would have real happiness. His mind is constantly moving from one thing to
another, he has no rest. If he is not experiencing a pleasure, he is
experiencing a pain or a sorrow. If he is not experiencing pain or sorrow, he is
in the intermediary situation wherein he neither experiences pain or pleasure.
His mind is always active, always restless, and therefore always a source of
unhappiness.
He looks at the beautiful things and exclaims, “Ah, it's wonderful.” He looks at
an unhappy situation and bemoans the misfortune. He is never at peace. As his
mind is working, now he is a witness to the beautiful things the mind can create
for experience, the next moment the same mind creates difficulties and trials.
All through the day he has no rest, no peace. When he falls asleep, there is
rest, there is peace, there is true happiness, the mind has stopped its
activity, it has stopped enjoying sense-pleasures, it has stopped reacting to
sense-difficulties and pains. So, true peace and true rest can be had only in
sleep, and sleep is a state where there is no mental activity, where there is no
struggle and searching, – creation of something, and enjoyment of that thing,
and the dissolution of that thing. But unfortunately sleep is an ignorant
condition, one does not enjoy true peace and rest and happiness in sleep
consciously. And unfortunately nobody can sleep till the end of his life, the
happiness of sleep is broken up by the dawn of the day, and the moment the eyes
are open, the trouble again starts. No matter you have been elected the king of
the land on that day, the next hour perhaps you will receive the news of
invasion.
There will be always problems, so long as you are experiencing something, so
long as you are a witness to something. Only in sleep where you experience
nothing, witness nothing, there is a true happiness and rest. But this sleep is
an ignorant, undesirable condition. There is another sleep, the sleep of
meditation, which is an intensively conscious state, it does not come to an end,
if you don't want it.
So, meditation releases you into the experience of the infinite Truth, and only
in that Truth where you witness nothing, experience nothing, see nothing other
than the Truth, there is infinite rest, peace, joy, happiness.
That is the greatest life on earth which is rooted in this all-peaceful infinite
Silence of the infinite Truth.
Even the condition of God as the creator is an unhappy state from the standpoint
of this infinite Silence and Peace and Rest of the infinite Truth. Though He has
brought the world into existence, here He is forced to be the witness of its
breakage, the earthquakes, the winds disobey, there are problems from all sides.
Therefore God plays the role of the creator while all the time He fixes Himself
up in the infinite Truth. If God does not root Himself in that infinite Truth,
He would have endless problems and difficulties.
So, let us struggle hard to experience this Truth wherein alone is true Peace,
true Rest, true Happiness.
When God's own position as a creator is not desirable, how can we covet any
other high position in the world?
The Divine Magnet

As a magnet, God is everywhere. But only iron-filings, iron nails can be drawn
by it. They alone can understand the magnet, not pieces of wood, not pieces of
cloth, not straw. God, the magnet, is everywhere, only the hearts of the
devotees are drawn by it. Only the hearts of the devotees can feel Him, know
Him, recognize Him.
His powerful Presence is everywhere, anyone at any time can magnetize himself
with God's Power and Grace and Peace.
Now let us try to charge ourselves with the Peace, the Power, the Grace, the
Beauty, the Love and the Joy of God.
Expanding the Consciousness

When you go out of the house into the open air, and suddenly look at the sky,
you see a vast area of the sky, your consciousness expands to the size of the
sky you see. Your consciousness spreads itself out into the whole of the sky,
and even the distant star somewhere in some corner is visible to you. So, your
consciousness assumes the size of the sky you see, it spreads as big, as vast as
the sky. Unless your consciousness does expand to the size of the sky it cannot
see anything in the sky.
Now when you close your eyes and enter the mental world, either through
imagination or through dream, there you find another wide world, your
consciousness is as wide as that world you experience. When you close the outer
eyes and shut off the vast outer sky, when you withdraw the consciousness, and
focus it on the inner world, your consciousness is as wide as that inner world,
however great that inner world be.
Close this mental world also and focus that eye of the consciousness upon the
Divine, the infinite Being. And when you focus your whole consciousness upon the
Infinite, the consciousness expands to the size of the Infinite. And the
Infinite is boundless, the consciousness in you becomes boundless. And if you
stay in that condition for months and years continuously, then you become in
your whole being of the nature of the Infinite Consciousness – God.
Therefore while repeating the Mantra, expand in consciousness, into this Heart
of the Divine which is boundless.
As you repeat the Mantras, let the consciousness spread into the universe; and
come out of the universe, spread into the internal mental universe; and come out
of the mental universe and spread itself into the Universe of the infinite
Truth.
Now, let the whole mind and heart and consciousness assume the boundless
proportions of the Power, Grace, Beauty, Perfection, Peace of the Infinite.
Perfect Bliss is Always There
Find the Divinity standing before you, behind you, to the left of you, to the
right of you, above you, all around you. Let the infinite Love personify Itself
and stand before you as a beautiful Form, – and dwell in your heart, illuminate
it, make it an altar.
Within
you, around you find nothing but this wondrous ocean of divine Love and Light.
The world is what you are in your heart. Your fate is what you are in your
heart.
