108 Kalashas with holy Ganges water,
to be offered to Lord Mahakala-Bhairava

On 26th May 2010, the auspicious day of Narasimha Jayanti, a grand and special Puja was conducted by the Priests of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, under the guidance of the Chief Priest of Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir, Shri Suresh Shastriji.

All the Priests had taken much extra time and great effort to decorate the Mandap of Mahakala-Bhairava Mandir with a special Altar and different Puja-Materials, and they also established a beautiful Swarna-Akarshana Bhairava Mandala, with 108 Kalashas (earthen pots), filled with holy Ganges-water and flower-petals and ornamented with lightful Deepas. This special Mandala was later on charged by the Omkarananda Ashram Priests with high-class, powerful prayers.

The Puja started in the morning with Ganesha-Puja, Guru-Puja and Yogeshwar and Yogeshwari Puja.

After the special Puja for the beautiful Mandala, an elaborate Abhishekam was performed for the Pranapratishtha Murti of Lord Mahakala-Bhairava, inside the Shrine.

The hour-long Puja ended with a special Arati and Prasad-Distribution.
