Omkarananda Jayanti - 25th December 2005

On 25th December 2005, Omkarananda Jayanti Celebrations were performed at Omkarananda Veda Mata Bhawanam in Kancheepuram under the able guidance of Shri C.V.Kamakoti Shastri with the participation of Veda Pathashala Students. The Poojas and Hawanas were performed by Shri Kamakshi Devi Temple priests lead by Shri Venkateshwara Shastri in the presence of devotees.

Starting at 6.30 in the morning, following programs were conducted:

4. Kalasha Sthapana
5. Varuna Avahana
6. Ganapati Pooja
7. Navagraha Pooja
8. Sudarshana Maha-Vishnu Pooja

10. Navagraha Hawana
11. Nakshatra Hawana (For the 27 Stars)
12. Avahanti Hawana
13. Maha-Sudarshana Mala Mantra Hawana
14. Laghu-Sudarshana Hawana
15. Sudarshana Gayatri Hawana
16. Kanya, Suvasini and Vatuka Pooja
17. Poornahuti
18. Deepa Arati and Mantra Pushpam
19. Punar Pooja
20. Yathasthana
21. Brahmin Bhojan
22. Poor Feeding

The function concluded at 2 pm after Prasad Distribution and Bhandara for Brahmins, devotees and the poor.
