Omkarananda Dipeshwar Mandir

Shri Vijayaraghavaji at Omkarananda Dipeshvar Mandir, Lakshmanjhula.

Lord Shiva appeared in the dream of an ardent devotee of Lord Rama as Shri Dipeshwar Mahadeva - the Great Lord of Dipas (butter lamps).

This event prompted her and her husband to become nimittas - instruments to create this temple of great devotion.

With the inspiration of Lord Rama this temple was later integrated into the spiritual family of H.D. Swami Omkarananda Saraswati.

Since its creation daily worship and Pujas as well as all the important Hindu festivals have always been conducted with great fervour in Dipeshwar Mandir. This has created an atmosphere abundantly vibrant with spiritual vibrations, providing a perfect environment for the Sadhakas whether they follow the way of Jnanayoga, Bhaktiyoga, or Karmayoga.
