Sage Patanjali describes the state of a Soul when in Yoga or Divine Union, "Then (when in Union) the Soul rests in its essential nature." (Yoga Sutra 1.3) What does he mean by the Soul? Is it an entity that has been travelling in this Universe since the moment of creation and was even travelling in the previous faces of creation, while briefly resting in the intervals between each eon of creation? What is its essential nature? Will it travel till eternity or will there be a time when it will be in eternal rest and peace? This talk is an effort to find answers to these and some other similar questions.
