Omkarananda Ashram's Spiritual
Activities
Omkarananda-Shanta-Durga Mandir
is the original temple and building of the Ashram built in 1967 in Muni-ki-reti.
It is the headquarter of all activities of Swamiji in India. Pujas are
performed both the times in the temple. Daily Hawanas and Abhishekas are
conducted. Some times visiting priests (like the famous priests of Tirupati
and Kanchikamakoti Pitha) are conducting special Homas, Abhishekas and
prayers for special purposes like world peace or during festivals like
Shivaratri, Dipavali, Krishna Janmashtami, Navaratri, etc.
Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir,
is an exquisitely designed South Indian Temple, which is located on a sacrosanct
land inside the Omkarananda Ashram complex at the foothills of the Himalayas,
where Gurudev had done his intensive Tapasya and Shrividya-Sadhana in the
earlier years. By the grace and blessing of Gurudev Paramahamsa Omkarananda
Saraswati, and under the able guidance of Shri Kamakoti Shastriji, Chief Priest
of Kamakshi Mandir, Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu, this temple was meticulously
planned and executed according to South Indian tradition and Vastu Shastra by
the renowned Sthapati Shri S. Ravichandran of Kancheepuram with the help and
labour of South Indian masons and artisans.
Omkarananda
Dipeshwar Mandir is a beautiful temple-cum-residential complex,
situated in Lakshmanjhula by the holy Mother Ganga, where Sadhakas are
given all facilities and opportunity to unfold their talent and spiritual
genius, to meditate and serve in the temple and Ashram.
Omkara-Maha-Ganapati Mandir: The temple was constructed
resembling the typical South Indian architecture under the aegis of Shri Kanchi Kamakoti Sastry Ji. With the whole temple
construction team being brought specially from Kanchi this temple is
one of its kind in this region of Garhwal Himalayas and marks the beginning
of our endeavour to construct a few more temples here in Rishikesh.
Omkarananda
Ram Mandir is situated in Upper Tapovan, surrounded by nature and
far away from the town. It is a beautiful place, surrounded by forests
and peaks. An old Swami is living in the temple. Pooja is performed
both the times in the temple. As the natural water flows by the middle
of the land, Ashram is maintaining its own farm and garden.
Omkarananda
Gayatri Sadan is situated at the holy spring of Sheshdhara,
directly on the bank of the holy river Ganga, between Lakshmanjhula
and Muni-ki-Reti. This building is completely isolated; the only sounds,
which can be heard, are the waves of the Ganga. Therefore this place
is ideally suited for spiritual aspirants and their Sadhana.
Omkarananda
Satyanarayana Mandir is also a temple-cum-residential complex on
the right bank of Ganga near Lakshmanjhula. It is a beautiful place
for Sadhakas.
